Oulu Fishery Centre services

Oulu Fishery Centre is a regional advisory organization promoting and working for the fishery chain of the Oulu Region’s inland waters. Our tasks:

• Representing the interests of and providing advisory services for water area owners
• Developing new fishery areas
• Providing training and lectures on current topics
• Providing advisory services on management of fishing waters, as well as fish and crayfish populations
• Protecting and restoring fishing waters, planting of fish and monitoring the results
• Providing advisory services for the commercial fishing industry
• Product development, marketing and increasing consumption of domestic fish
• Preparing plans for water management and usage, conducting fishery surveys, and issuing statements
• Other advisory and development services for the fishing industry
